Thank goodness nobody can see inside my brain while I?m working out. It?s a weird mix of complaints, random observations and crazy mantras. Sometimes, I coax myself through every move, convincing myself to run to the next rock or telephone pole. Other times, it?s all about confident self-talk. Here are a few mantras that have been running through my head during recent workouts:
? Done is better than fun.
? You can.
? Suck it up!
? Oooooooooooooooh yeah.
? Ouch. Ouch. Ouch. Ouch.
? Only 30 more seconds.
What kinds of things do you say to yourself when you work out?
